Unify America

When Unify America came to 253 Media, they had a genuinely important mission — building civic skills across political divides — but needed a site that could make that mission feel energizing rather than earnest and abstract.

Areas for Improvement

Unify America's work is easy to reduce to generic "bridge the divide" messaging, but their actual programs (the Civic Gym, Citizens' Assemblies, the Unify Challenge) are specific, experiential, and genuinely engaging — that distinction needed to come through fast, especially to skeptical visitors who've heard plenty of unity rhetoric before. With multiple audiences to serve (college students, communities, donors, partners), the site needed to route each visitor to the right program without diluting the core mission.

Our solutions

253 Media led with a direct, confident reframe — "replace political fighting with problem solving" — paired with real footage of participants to make the civic work feel tangible rather than theoretical. We gave the Civic Gym and Citizens' Assemblies their own clear sections so higher-ed and community audiences each find their entry point immediately, while directly addressing skepticism head-on with a dedicated "skeptical about unity? we get it" section that builds trust instead of avoiding the objection. Real growth numbers and team credibility (entrepreneurs who've scaled software to millions of users) reinforce that this isn't just goodwill — it's a team that knows how to execute.
